Tasting Notes:
An initial bouquet of ripe, almost jammy red fruits (cherries, cranberries), black tea, and blueberries that yields to smoky, savory aromas and black licorice from the Syrah component. Upon taste, there are subtle fruit flavors of black cherries, blackberries and slight raspberry preserves on the front end, evolving into black tea, plums, pepper, and a smoky bacon finish on the back end. The pleasant peppery finish sticks with you for a while as the finish lingers on the tongue – a wine that definitely leaves an impression and makes you eager for another sip.
