The 2018 “VV” is a consistent club member favorite. The blend of estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah has a beautiful, deep ruby and slight purple hue. This medium + bodied blend shows off balanced acidity with pronounced notes of ripe plum and figs, stewed raspberry, blueberry jam, cinnamon, fennel, rosemary, black pepper, olive tapenade, and Cuban cigar. Tannins and acidity linger, but strong fruit notes bring great balance and depth, while barrel notes remain present but subdued. You can open this bottle tonight, but patience will pay off.
